Timeline
2010 -- February 16: Still waiting ...........................
May 9: Lifebooks are in the hands of the agency and P. Other social workers in the state should get their copies by May 11.
May 3: Lifebook finished! This week we continue to shop for best deal on printing 40 spiral-bound copies.
April 17: Approval to adopt granted!
March 30: Mailed off corrections to our home study report to P., who is recommending approval of our adoption application. Final approval comes from N.
March 27: Notified of new state law that may increase our adoption expenses even further. Just what we wanted!
March 12: Homestudy Part 2. P. says approval to adopt is anticipated!
March 10: Fire Marshal visit. Gotta make sure that evacuation plan is posted since the newborn could be reading (not to mention following directions) at any moment.
March 3: Homestudy Part 1. Met our social worker, P., for first time.
February 19: Got fingerprinted and background check.
February 19: Met with adoption agency coordinator, N.
2009 -- February 3: Mailed application to adopt. Forked over the first batch of big bucks -- more to come.
